Summary

SmartDock .NET is a Smart Client application designed to run well over the Internet and/or your local network or WAN using the Microsoft .NET Framework. No terminal emulation software is required. All communication between the clients and the server is over HTTP, so no additional firewall configuration is necessary. Compression is used to minimize network traffic and IIS can be configured for SSL support to secure data transmissions. Users are authenticated using secure password technology and accounts can be administered from any workstation by a user logging on with supervisor rights. Both IIS and Microsoft SQL Server can be scaled as your needs demand. Client workstations are installed and kept up-to-date with Microsoft ClickOnce technology.
